Open Mic Night at Ed's Crossroads

It’s been almost two years since I began the entertainment at Ed’s Crossroads Pizza & Subs, starting Tuesday night karaoke in my hometown of Fitzwilliam.  In those two years, Ed first built a small bar, and then a really amazing addition that has doubled our seating capacity.

This spring, I assumed more responsibilities in preparation for that expansion, becoming the director of marketing & entertainment. Each week we are planning additional special events, for birthdays to baptisms & we enjoy working with you to create the menus, ambiance & experience you desire.
This week starts a new stage of my involvement in the restaurant as I refresh our Thursday night Open Mic.  Previously hosted by local resident & talented entertainer Rob Roy, Ed’s Crossroads Open Mic night has become a great forum for local artists to perform for an appreciative audience.  We welcome musicians, singers, poets, comedians & other entertainers.  My (co-)host for the events will be Mike Jackman, a gifted musician & comedian from several groups in the region, including Northern Stone, The Mendition of the Quay & Dark Irish
Comedy.  Our goal is to add more diversity to the night, with greater emphasis to organizing & promoting the artists ahead of time, building our audiences & pools of talent. Mike, his bandmates & comedy partners exemplify this type of networking.
We also hope to bring more perks to the event, with Ed’s Crossroads thank you cards soon to be available for our performers.
Each night that somebody performs, this card will be initialed/stamped by Ed & once the card is filled (10x), the entertainer will get a free pizza!  Also, we shall be introducing Open Mic contests for which the winners will be awarded paid gigs during upcoming weekends at Ed’s Crossroads. As always, every Thursday night we shall be offering FREE pizza slices to everyone in attendance – the audience & the performers!!
Bri Bell will be performing at Open Mic
this Thursday & solo on Sat. Dec.15th
It is our hope to plan our events further ahead, to best publicize our performers in our online and print advertising, which will attract larger audiences and more variety. If you would like to schedule a slot, please call or text me at
603-852-6185 or email me at cjholman@hotmail.com.  Often you can find me at my office at Crossroads, particularly Tuesdays -Thursdays.  We shall always do our best to accommodate any additional performers that attend without notice, but priority scheduling will be given to those who have responded ahead of time.  I sincerely look forward to working more closely with the staff of
Ed’s Crossroads to bring in the best & most entertaining talent of the region.  I hope you will join us as we create a new showcase in Ed’s expanded bar for these great talents!
I hope to see you all  Thursday night!
