This week is exciting for me as I start a series of fun anniversary parties for the summer of 2012.
My friend Ed Yoerger & the gang at Ed’s Crossroads Pizza & Subs will be celebrating our second anniversary. On Friday night, we kickoff the festivities with a special karaoke. With a kegerator on our deck, we shall be offering $2 beers for our 2 anniversary!
Saturday, we move the party outdoors in a big fashion, with a large tent & live entertainment. Local artists and bands will be performing from 11 AM until 8 PM, hosted by our open mic host, Rob Roy. Sonja Carey, racecar driver, will be appearing from 11-1 & Ed’s Crossroads Softball Team will be there from 1-3. Whitewater Wizard Charley Brackett will be displaying his many awards from the 2012 season, another champion sponsored by Ed’s Crossroads.
I shall be hosting a Children’s Karaoke Saturday afternoon from 2-4, and there will be complimentary face painting. We shall be having the following specials:
$1 hot dog
$2 two scoop ice cream
$2 cotton candy
Uncle Bill will be on site the whole weekend too, with his delicious smoked pork, ribs & grilled meals, there will be a great selection for the entire family to enjoy!
Ed has recently promoted me to the management position of marketing & entertainment director. In the upcoming expansion of the restaurant, which doubles our current seating capacity, I shall also be allocated office space for CJ the DJ & Holman Photography within the Crossroads building. We shall be adding billiards, darts & creating our own“Happy Hour”. Other exciting goals for this upcoming year include completing our birthday club ($10 gift certificates for those who sign up on their birthdays), a fundraising program for schools & youth groups, & more community involvement – including our own float for the town of Fitzwilliam’s 250th Anniversary Parade on Saturday, July 28th!
It is great fun to see my local friends when I host karaoke every Tuesday night. Traveling most weekends from spring through fall, it is meaningful for me to have this mid-week gathering to celebrate special times with friends & neighbors outside of the mainstream schedule… This past year & half has been memorable with great holiday parties, birthday celebrations & small town fun!
So, there is much to celebrate this weekend as Ed’s Crossroads Pizza Subs turns 2, & we hope you will join us for the festivities.
